Partner Network
Partner Network FAQ
Practical answers for people considering the Start2Study Partner Network — or already working with us.
Do I need experience to become a Start2Study partner?
Not necessarily. Applications are reviewed individually. We care about honesty, clear communication and whether you can introduce prospective students responsibly.
Do I work fixed hours?
No. Independent referral partners decide when and how much they want to promote Start2Study. There are no fixed working hours.
How do I get paid?
Partners receive an agreed share of the cleared commission Start2Study actually receives for an eligible successful referral.
What is my commission rate?
Your individual rate is confirmed during onboarding and shown privately in your Partner Portal. Rates are personal to each partner and are not published on the public website.
Can my commission increase?
Yes. Standard partners can progress through the Start2Study commission structure as successful enrolments increase. After 10 successful enrolments, the arrangement may be reviewed for a higher or custom agreement. A higher rate is not automatic or guaranteed.
When is commission paid?
Normally after the student meets the relevant successful enrolment conditions, Start2Study receives the corresponding cleared commission, and any applicable validation period has passed.
What happens if the university or partner does not pay Start2Study?
The related referral reward is not payable until Start2Study receives the relevant commission.
How are my students linked to me?
Approved partners receive a unique referral code and link — for example start2study.org/start?ref=YOURCODE. When a verified referral link is used, it is automatically attached to the student’s submitted enquiry. A typed introducer name is the fallback when no verified referral exists.
Can I see student information?
Partners only see limited information needed to understand their referral progress. They do not receive unrestricted access to student applications or Start2Study’s owner systems.
Do I need to complete British Council training?
Start2Study expects approved partners to complete the relevant British Council UK Agent & Counsellor Training as part of onboarding. The training is external and opens on the official British Council website. Completing it does not mean Start2Study itself is British Council accredited.
Can I give visa advice?
Partners can share general official information and direct students to appropriate resources. Personalised immigration advice must only be given by someone appropriately authorised.
Can I collect tuition or visa payments from students?
No. Partners must not collect tuition fees, visa fees or similar official payments on behalf of Start2Study.
Still unsure?
