01About this agreement
This agreement is between Start2Study Ltd (Company number 16457053) and you as an approved Start2Study referral partner. It covers how you introduce prospective students to Start2Study, how we support that work, and how agreed referral rewards are handled. It is meant to be clear and practical so both sides know where they stand.
02Your role
You introduce prospective students to Start2Study for course-matching and application support. You work with Start2Study as an independent referral partner. This agreement does not give you authority to enter contracts, collect money or make promises on behalf of Start2Study unless we specifically authorise that in writing.
03What Start2Study provides
Start2Study will provide an approved personal referral link and code, share approved information and marketing resources where available, record verified referrals fairly, keep you informed where appropriate, handle student information responsibly, provide reasonable owner support, and pay agreed eligible referral rewards when the conditions confirmed with you have been met.
04How referrals are recorded
A verified referral code or link recorded with the student’s submitted enquiry takes priority. Where no verified referral exists, Start2Study may review a manually entered introducer name. If referrals are duplicated or disputed, Start2Study will decide reasonably using the available records. A typed introducer name cannot overwrite a verified referral code.
05Referral rewards
Your referral reward is calculated as a percentage of the commission Start2Study actually receives for an eligible referred student. Your individual percentage is shown in your Partner Portal or confirmed with you in writing. Different courses, providers and recruitment partners may pay Start2Study different commission amounts, so referral rewards may vary. For partners on the standard model, your percentage may increase based on successful eligible enrolment volume within the agreed tiers; higher tiers apply to future eligible enrolments and do not automatically recalculate earlier records. After a higher enrolment volume, Start2Study may review whether a custom arrangement is appropriate; any change must be agreed and is not automatic or guaranteed. A reward becomes payable only after Start2Study has received the relevant cleared commission and any applicable validation period has passed. If Start2Study is not paid, no partner commission is payable. If the underlying commission is reduced, your share is calculated from the reduced amount actually received. If the underlying commission is clawed back, the related partner commission may be adjusted or reversed. Individual reward amounts are private to each partner and must not be published in marketing.
06What partners must not do
You must represent Start2Study honestly and use approved information. You must not promise admission or a visa, collect tuition or visa fees on behalf of Start2Study, provide personalised immigration advice unless you are appropriately authorised to do so, misuse university branding, or invent unofficial fee arrangements. You must protect student information and use your own referral link or code correctly.
07Student information and confidentiality
Handle student information carefully and only share what is needed through approved Start2Study processes. Keep Start2Study business information confidential. Do not use student details for unrelated marketing or pass them to third parties without a clear, approved reason.
08Training and professional conduct
As part of onboarding you are expected to complete Start2Study’s required training and follow the Partner Code of Conduct. This includes the British Council UK Agent & Counsellor Training, or another training route Start2Study confirms in writing. Completing that external training does not mean Start2Study itself is British Council accredited.
09Ending the partnership
Either side can end this arrangement. Start2Study may suspend or end access immediately for dishonest representation, misuse of student information, unauthorised fee collection, false admission or visa promises, or a serious breach of the Partner Code of Conduct. Legitimate referrals already recorded before the partnership ends remain in Start2Study’s records. Outstanding eligible rewards continue to be assessed under the terms agreed with you, subject to the usual validation and payment rules. You remain responsible for your own tax and invoicing arrangements; Start2Study may ask for a valid invoice before payment.
10Agreement and acceptance
By accepting this agreement you confirm that you have read and understood it, that the information you have provided is accurate, that you agree to follow the Start2Study Partner Code of Conduct, and that you understand your agreed referral reward and payment terms. Start2Study may update programme rules and agreement wording from time to time; material changes will be communicated to active partners. This agreement is intended to be governed by the laws of England and Wales.
